Since 9 September 2001 a number of important articles have appeared in the press throwing further light on the events of that day. This section provides links to some of these articles and comments upon their significance. Radioactive Steel Contamination February 2009 On the 26th February the Indian newspaper "The Hindu" reported that Indian steel products exported to Europe and the USA were contaminated with Cobalt 60. Some 123 shipments of contaminated steel have been denied entry into the USA since screening started in 2003, 67 from India, 23 from China and 20 from Canada. In Germany, 150 tonnes of contaminated stainless steel from India bound for Russia has been impounded or sent back, much of it in 2008. The article reports that most of the stainless steel exported by India is first imported as scrap and recycled. The article begs the question - why was a US screening program set up in 2003 to monitor imported steel for radioactive contamination. And what are the sources of this radioactive contamination and how is it getting into commercial steel in such quantities as to be measurable when diluted by thousands of tonnes of steel? It will be remembered that the structural steel from the WTC was removed and shipped quickly overseas for recycling without independent forensic analysis. Pictures of the Reactor Containment Structure 22nd September 2008 In what may be the most stunning direct evidence yet revealed for the occurrence of "The China Syndrome" under the WTC, press articles have appeared in recent days concerning the discovery of a "pothole" 40 feet deep in the bedrock under the site of the WTC. It was uncovered during excavations in the South East quadrant of the site for the new "Freedom Tower". In August 2008 it was reported (Daily Mail, 25/08/08) that work was going on 20 hours a day in the "East Bathtub" to prepare the foundations for the Freedom Tower. Concrete was being poured down a navy blue funnel from the street into the bathtub. However, in the panoramic view below there is no sign that construction of foundations for the Freedom Tower has commenced though perhaps this is out of sight to one side. In fact, reports commented that this "pothole" was exposed as the overlying topsoil was being removed to reach the bedrock before construction of the Freedom Tower foundations can commence. More... |
